GROOTS WORKSHOP — TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: January 1, 2026

This website is operated by Groots Workshop. Throughout the site, the terms "we," "us," and "our" refer to Groots Workshop. By using this site or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), including any additional policies linked or referenced herein.

Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the platform we use to sell products and services to you.

1. ELIGIBILITY & AGREEMENT

By using this website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.

2. USE OF SERVICES

You may not use our services for illegal or unauthorized purposes, or to violate any laws in your jurisdiction. Transmitting malware, spam, or harmful code is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in immediate termination of service.

3. SERVICE AVAILABILITY & MODIFICATIONS

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service, product, or feature at any time without notice. Prices are subject to change. We are not liable for any disruptions, delays, or discontinuation.

4. PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS, COLORS & TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS

We strive for accuracy in product listings and images. However, screen displays may not reflect exact colors. Slight color variation may occur in reorders due to changes in our printing process.

Cutting Limitations: Because our production equipment allows for microscopic margins of movement, designs with ultra-thin cutlines or intricate "deep-cut" shapes may result in slightly inconsistent borders or minor tears in the paper backing.

Liability: Groots Workshop is not responsible for replacements, reprints, or refunds for these specific technical outcomes, as they are inherent risks of high-complexity designs.

5. BILLING & ACCOUNT INFO

We reserve the right to cancel or limit orders at our discretion, especially if we suspect fraud. You agree to provide accurate and updated billing, shipping, and account details.

6. DIGITAL PROOFS

Custom orders include a digital proof for approval before production. It is your responsibility to review and approve the proof promptly. Production will begin 72 hours after a proof is sent if we do not hear back from you.

7. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Custom orders are final sale and cannot be canceled once placed.

Refunds are not issued for customer errors, including typos, incorrect images, or failure to use a coupon.

Refunds, when issued, are in the form of gift cards with no expiration.

Returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 50%.

Rush fees are non-refundable once production begins or proof is approved.

Courtesy Changes: One-time courtesy changes or cancellations may be offered at our sole discretion as a gesture of goodwill. Accepting a courtesy adjustment does not waive our standard policies for future orders, and the terms of the original agreement remain in place for any subsequent re-orders.

8. RETURNS & DAMAGES

Custom products cannot be returned. Other items may be eligible for return at your expense. Inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if it arrives damaged or incorrect.

9. STICKER & DECAL SIZING

All stickers and decals are measured by their longest side, not square inches. Full-bleed stickers may be up to 1/6" smaller due to trimming requirements.

10. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

All orders are insured. Missing packages may take up to 25 days to resolve through our insurance partner. We are not liable for lost packages due to incorrect shipping addresses provided at checkout.

11. CHARGEBACKS

If a chargeback is filed, you must return the items at your expense. If you win the dispute but fail to return the products, you will be recharged for the order.

12. REORDERS

We do our best to match previous orders, but exact color matching is not guaranteed. Slight variation is normal due to print method or material changes over time.

13. REWARDS POINTS

Reward coupons must be used in one transaction; unused balances are forfeited. If an order using rewards is canceled, the points will be returned.

14. CONTENT & AGE RESTRICTIONS

We prohibit hate speech, content promoting violence or discrimination, or NSFW designs involving individuals or characters under 18. We may request age verification; failure to comply results in cancellation with a full refund and potential reporting to authorities.

15. COPYRIGHT & USAGE RIGHTS

By submitting a design, you affirm that you have the legal rights to use it. Groots Workshop is not liable for claims related to user-submitted content. We may post your finished product on social media or paid advertisements but will never reuse your artwork without your consent.

16. OPTIONAL TOOLS & THIRD-PARTY LINKS

We may offer third-party tools or links. Use of these is entirely at your own risk, and we are not responsible for external content or services.

17. USER SUBMISSIONS

You grant us the right to use, reproduce, or modify any feedback or submissions you send. We are not obligated to compensate you or keep your submissions confidential, unless otherwise stated by us.

18. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You may not break laws, violate others' rights, or upload harmful code. Additionally, you may not:

Promo Hopping: Canceling a standing order to re-purchase the same items using a new promotional code or flash sale is strictly prohibited.

Enforcement: If we detect an order has been canceled specifically to bypass original pricing for a promotion, the new order will be canceled and refunded.

19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Our products and services are provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uninterrupted service or results. We are not liable for any direct or indirect damages, including lost profits or data.

20. TAX EXEMPTION

Please ensure all tax exemption information is correct before completing your order. We are unable to refund tax paid after an order is placed. In the event you place an order that is tax exempt without having a tax exempt form on file with us, we will only be able to credit your account with Groots Workshop for the tax paid.

21. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify Groots Workshop against any third-party claims related to your violation of these Terms or infringement of rights.

22. SEVERABILITY

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid.

23. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any posted policies, represent the full agreement between you and Groots Workshop.

24. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and the United States of America.

25. SMS/MMS MOBILE MESSAGE MARKETING PROGRAM

By opting in, you agree to receive automated marketing messages from Groots Workshop. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Message frequency varies, and consent is not a condition of purchase.

26. ARTWORK QUALITY & RESOLUTION

Customer Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the resolution and quality of the files you upload.

Minimum Standards: For the highest quality prints, we recommend a minimum of 300 DPI at final print size.

Automated Processing: To maintain our fast production speeds, files are processed with our standard workflow. We do not manually upscale or correct low-resolution artwork.

Liability: Groots Workshop is not liable for blurry or pixelated prints resulting from low-resolution files provided by the customer.

27. PRODUCTION FACILITY

Production-Only Facility: Our production facility in Wellington, Ohio is not open to the public for walk-in orders, consultations, or pickups.

Online & Direct Orders: Orders are placed through our online store or by direct arrangement. We do not accept unscheduled walk-in business.

Shipping & Local Pickup: We ship all orders via our standard carrier partners. Local pickup may be available by appointment only; contact us in advance to arrange.

28. ADDITIONAL SERVICES — LASER ENGRAVING, CNC FABRICATION & 3D PRINTING

Service Scope: Groots Workshop offers laser engraving, CNC fabrication, and 3D printing services in addition to print and signage. These services are subject to material availability, equipment scheduling, and design feasibility.

Design Files: For CNC and laser work, customer-supplied files must be in a compatible vector format (SVG, DXF, AI). Groots Workshop is not responsible for output quality resulting from improperly formatted design files.

Material Variations: Natural materials such as wood may exhibit grain, knot, or color variation. These are inherent characteristics of the material and are not grounds for refunds or reprints.

3D Print Tolerances: 3D printed parts may exhibit layer lines, slight dimensional variance, and surface texture inherent to the FDM printing process. These are standard characteristics and not defects.

29. PRODUCTION LEAD TIMES & DELAYS

Standard Timing: While we aim for 1-3 business day production on standard print orders, this is a target and not a legal guarantee. CNC, laser, and 3D print jobs may require additional lead time.

Extended Lead Times: Production may be extended during holiday closures, equipment maintenance, or high-volume periods.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays caused by carrier issues, supply chain disruptions, or extreme weather.
